Since 2011, The Concordia Chapter of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc. and the Xi Chapter of Latino America Unida, Lambda Alpha Upsilon Fraternity, Inc. have an established partnership that brings to the University of Connecticut one of the most popular events each year, Stroll for a Cause; An exciting strolling competition that brings Greek organizations, students, faculty and families from across New England together to support and raise awareness to multiple philanthropies and causes. At this event, organizations battle it out in a competitive and exciting stroll competition for a cash prize to donate to their philanthropy.
Despite our different origins, MSU and LAU share a common goal of service to the community. In light of that, Stroll for a Cause was a created to engage the community and make an impact. Proceeds directly benefit our respective philanthropies, The Girls Effect and the Sickle Cell Anemia Association, including our winners’ designated philanthropy.
